Departmental Activities
Students’ Seminars are organised by the Department. The topic for the last students’ seminar was “Sesher Kobita : a close reading response”, which was held in April, 2018.
The wall magazine of the department is called “Sparsa”. The last wall magazine was put up on August 2017.
Dr. Sharmistha Ganda Roy was invited to speak on ‘Gender Equality and the Working Women: Reflections on the story ‘Abataronika’ by Narendranath Mitra’, on the occasion of the Commemoration of International Women’s Day 2016 organised by Nandana, the Women’s Empowerment Cell.
Dr. Sunil Kumar Roy was invited to speak on the occasion of International Mother Language Day at Khudiram Bose Central College, Kolkata on 21st February, 2018. The topic of the talk was ‘Biswa Bhashar Sankot o Sanrakshan.
